QMA Board of Directors: JEAN-FRANÇOIS VERRET APPOINTED AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Québec City, June 16, 2015 – Following its annual general meeting, the Québec Mining Association (QMA) is pleased to announce its new Board of Directors, which will be chaired by Jean-François Verret, succeed Christian Provencher, Chairman since June 2014, who will continue to serve as Vice-Chairman.

Jean-François Verret is employed at Raglan Mine, a Glencore company, since 2010, and is currently Director of Capital Projects and Exploration. He holds a Bachelor's degree in geological and mining engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. He also has several years’ experience in mining and geological engineering, continuous improvement, project management and business strategy.

Jean-François Verret has been a member of the QMA’s Board of Directors since 2013, and became Vice-Chairman in 2014. "I am proud to have this opportunity to chair the Board of Directors of a credible, proactive association that effectively represents its members' interests," says Mr. Verret. "I am fully aware of all the issues facing the QMA and I intend to ensure the progress of our responsible and committed industry."
